Boasting 26 storeys and a BREEAM Excellent score, 103 Colmore Row at 108m tall stands out in Birmingham's skyline. Our primary task involved re-engineering the core for constructability using slip form and to fit the building's impressive 12 lifts without compromising the 230,084 sq ft Grade A flexible office space.  We also undertook the temporary works design for the remainder of Morrisroe’s concrete works.

Our design solution for the core used first principles to strengthen the slender core walls, integrating temporary and permanent works to obtain stability, boosting cost-effectiveness and programme efficiency while mitigating the risk of buckling failure.
