This complex long-term regeneration project involves the redevelopment of the iconic 1960’s Elephant and Castle shopping centre and an adjacent University Arts London (UAL) site to form a new Town Centre which will be home to university, retail, office and residential spaces along with a new TfL/LUL integrated ticket hall linking both Northern and Bakerloo underground lines housed in a five-level deep basement.

As well as our current PT and precast column design work, we designed two large top-down logistics RC slabs on plunge columns at both ends of the general two-level basement. Our role also included providing technical advice and temporary works design support in respect of the basement construction, including the five-level deep TfL/LUL integrated ticket hall.
